What is it like to live in Cairo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

It is a good place to live for foreigners, all the Egyptian citizens are so friendly, they will try to talk to you in a nice way, they are kind, nice, helpful people. however, don't get too comfortable when you deal with them, because lots of them will try to steal from you ... on the other hand it has so amazing places to visit and enjoy your time.

What is the student lifestyle like in Cairo?

It depends on your faculty, if you are stuyding urban planning you won't find so much time to hangout with your friends, but if you are stuyding business economics you will have more time to party.

How much does it cost to live in Cairo?

it's not hard to live here, you can stay in a very good place, 4 rooms apartment by just 4000 max but this is the price if you have an egyptian friend, to deal with the owner because once the owner knows that you aren't egyptian, he will get so much money out of you, say 8000. The other stuff are really cheap, eating you can go to MacDonald or KFC and eat a greaaaat meal for 40 pounds.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cairo? Is there any advice you can give?

No, you can easily find accommodation, as long as you go far from the center. Then it will be easy.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

There are lots of good dishes in Egypt, you will enjoy, and I prefer you to discover it by yourself.

What places would you recommend visiting in Cairo?

Historic places are all over Cairo, you can go there with egyptian friends.
