What is it like to live in Cairo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Being the capital, Cairo is very crowded and whenever you walk in the street you can find people and opened shops , but regardless I would strongly recommend trying to live in Cairo as it has its own beauty

What is the student lifestyle like in Cairo?

Studying in Cairo is hard but the experience is worth the effort

How much does it cost to live in Cairo?

Depending on where you are the prices can change, in moderate areas prices are low while in higher areas prices can multiply but overall living in Cairo is not very expressive

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cairo? Is there any advice you can give?

Accommodation in Cairo is not very expensive, but you have to invest time to get a good deal as I don't recommend living in a poor area

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

"Koshary" is an Egyptian famous meal along with "foul and falafel" and they are cheap, meat fish and chicken are expensive but vegetables and fruit are very cheap

What places would you recommend visiting in Cairo?

Cairo is full of different touristic places, but of course you can't leave Egypt without visiting the pyramids and "hossane" street along with all the historical churches and mosques

Is it good to eat out in Cairo? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

I don't recommend street food as if you are not used to it, it can cause problems but famous fast food brands are ok.

Is the nightlife good in Cairo? Where is good to go?

Cairo is very alive at night as most Egyptians go out so whenever you want to go out and wherever you are and whatever you want to do you will find what you are looking for

What advice would you give future students heading to Cairo?

Egyptians are very helpful and friendly and that will make your stay a lot easier. But try to rent a room or an apartment near you college that will make things a lot easier. Also learn English or Arabic as most Egyptians know only these 2 languages
