What is it like to live in Cairo? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Cheap food, many malls, lots of restaurants to try, decent culture and people. Honestly, wouldn't recommend Egypt in general, and it should be the last country on your list to live in. However, if you're relying on it then you'll eventually like it.

What is the student lifestyle like in Cairo?

It is and will be fun once you're used to the environment and culture. Making friends in Cairo is really easy and will help you a lot. Also, there are lots of malls to visit, places to go to, and tons of restaurants to try

How much does it cost to live in Cairo?

Surprisingly, despite the inflation occuring right now, Egypt is considered one of the cheapest countries to live in.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cairo? Is there any advice you can give?

It's actually not really hard to find accommodation in Cairo, plus the costs aren't too high.
My advice would be to find accommodation in places like New Cairo or 5th settlement in general.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is really good in general. Egypt is famous for their Koshary and foul & ta'meya sandwiches.

What places would you recommend visiting in Cairo?

Definitely stick to places such as 5th settlement, New Cairo, and Rehab.

Is it good to eat out in Cairo? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Definitely, there are bizarre amount of restaurants, fast-foods and diners to enjoy.
Mine would be Mince.

Is the nightlife good in Cairo? Where is good to go?

Places in downwards-side Egypt such as Zamalek has many great clubs and pubs to enjoy, and honestly nightlife is not the bad.

What advice would you give future students heading to Cairo?

You need to adapt to the culture very quickly to avoid getting tricked or to avoid embarrassing moments. Also, try to stick to places in upper-Egypt
