What is it like to live in Cádiz? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

To my opinion, Cádiz is a unique city: a small, but crowded one, with many places to visit or to spend your time, with amazing views, special sunsets and friendly people.

What is the student lifestyle like in Cádiz?

Even though Cádiz is a small city, it is also a very crowded one, with many students, as well as many Erasmus ones. That is why I think Cádiz could be a great place for an Erasmus student.

How much does it cost to live in Cádiz?

The city is known as one of the most expensive places from Spain, but is not really like that. You can manage to live if you have around 600 euros per month.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Cádiz? Is there any advice you can give?

Accommodation is easy to be found. The ESN team helps you with the renting offers and then you only have to make some calls. In one-two days you can find a place to live.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Here you can find the typical Spanish dishes together with the fish and seafood specific to every ocean area.

What places would you recommend visiting in Cádiz?

You can find many cultural sites in Cádiz. Here are some of them: the Cathedral, which is very nice and imposing, the Theatre, Manuel de Falla, the Castles of Santa Catalina and San Sebastian, as well as many museums. Torre Tavira is also a nice place to visit.

Is it good to eat out in Cádiz? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are many places where you can eat in Cádiz and you will discover them for sure. I didn't have a favourite one.

Is the nightlife good in Cádiz? Where is good to go?

In winter, the old town is the place to be, especially in the period of the Carnival. In summer all the fun and the crowd are moved in the new part of the town, near the parade.

What advice would you give future students heading to Cádiz?

To be prepared for the most outstanding experience as a student.
