Erasmus Experience in Cadiz, Spain by Valentina
Why did you choose to go to Cadiz, Spain?
Honestly, I chose Cadiz because it was the only Spanish destination, but I don't regret it.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I began with a first semester Erasmus, and then I decided to extend my program, so I stayed there the whole year. I was very lucky because I had 230 euros plus 200 euros more from my university, so in total I had 430 per month to spend, and if you find a cheap but good accommodation they are plenty enough to assure you well being and entertainment.
What is the student lifestyle like in Cadiz?
It's a very good lifestyle: attending lessons is not so simple as everybody thinks when one make an Erasmus. In Italy I used to study all the books about 2/3 weeks before the exam, but in Cadiz you have to do it day by day because proffesors give you homeworks to do alone or with other students, and in some way it's better so you'll study less for the exam, but it can't allow you to leave the book closed if one day you just want to have fun.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Cadiz to other students?
I sure recommend this university cause it seems a very good one to me and the city it's very relaxing. I come from Rome where you don't know at all what relax is and there I found my peace on Earth!
