Why did you choose to go to Cadiz, Spain?
Because of its localization, weather conditions and culture factors. Moreover, my plan was to practice my Spanish.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
I was there for 9,5 months. I was receiving 400 euro per month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Cadiz?
Cadiz and Universidad de Cadiz are very friendly for students. There are many activities and parties organized by local ESN office.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Cadiz to other students?
Sure - sun, beaches, friendly people, great culture, many interesting cities nearby.
What is the food like?
Tradicional spanish food - sea-food, paella, gazpacho, big variety of desserts.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Cadiz?
I found it very quickly. You need to search at univeristy, their special internet platform and on the fb group. If you do it well, you will find it without problems.
How much does it cost to live in Cadiz?
I was spending about 500-600 euro per month (including costs of accommodation).
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Cadiz is in Andalucia, so they speak there in Andalu - a bit quicker version of normal Spanish. After a while you will catch it. There is a nice option for 3-month-course for 150 euro - worth it!
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Cadiz from your city?
Cheap flight companies but not direct. GDA-BCN and BCN-XRY and then with train or bus.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Cadiz?
First you need to visit famous "la punta" - a place with about 7 different clubs. Before the party you can "prepare" yourself on botellon just 5 steps from that place. Local law permits it.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Cadiz?

What good cultural sites are there to visit?
Cadiz itself, Jerez de la Frontera, Cordoba, Granada, Malaga, Sevilla, Arcos de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa Maria

Go there!
