Why did you choose to go to Cádiz, Spain?
I really wanted to live on the coast. Also, I like the size of city, not too big and not too small!
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
For the 5 months I am here I get about 315 € per month.
What is the student lifestyle like in Cadiz?
Cádiz has a very laid back atmosphere. There are a lot of students that go to the beach together to play beach volleyball or go surfing or at night meet for tapas and some drinks.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Cadiz to other students?
I definitely recommend the city. It's beautiful and has a lot to offer.
What is the food like?
Thousands of bars and restaurants offer a variety of tapas. It's so much fun to try something new every time! We went to the market almost every day to buy amazing fresh fish and fruit at a very nice price.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Cadiz?
Very easy through online search pages.
How much does it cost to live in Cadiz?
I think it is a little cheaper than Germany. You find a room for 200-250€ easily.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
The Spanish are quite hard to understand and they don't slow down. There are language courses at university but not cheap.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Cadiz from your city?
We drove by car. It's long but worth it! But there are also cheap flights to cities nearby.
