Why did you choose to go to Cadiz, Spain?
I always liked spanish language, so i was exited by the opportunity to study in Spain. And Cadiz is almost city of a dream for a sudent. Picturesque seaside always raises one's mood, when he is exhausted and it's possible to combine studies with wonderful rest.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
The scholarship is one semester(5-6 months). I have an agreement with the university to receive a study grant, so it's 800 euro per month (but paid not longer, than 5 months).
What is the student lifestyle like in Cadiz?
Even when you assist university you still have time for your interests and the is ESN which can propose you a lot of travelling, sport, etc. activities.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Cadiz to other students?
Definitely recommend.
What is the food like?
As i'm vegetarian, can't say about everithing, but here i have a big choice of products to cook from and the meals suitable for vegetarians i tried in cafes and restaurants are tasty.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Cadiz?
I found it at http://www.milanuncios.com/. If you know spanish, there will be no difficulties (and you can find variats, when you don't have to send money from your country, but pay on arrival).
How much does it cost to live in Cadiz?
Will accomodation in separate room about 500-600 euro per month.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
The are language courses and even with discounts for Erasmus students. If you studied classic spanish (castellano) there are almost no problems with understanding.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Cadiz from your city?
To go from Minsk to Vilnus, take a plane Vilnus-Madrid, and then a bus Madrid-Cadiz.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
There are museums here, you can choose on your interest. And definitely the highest tower.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Cadiz in the future?
It's usually very cold at nights in flats in march. For this month take some warm clothes to sleep in.
