Brighton Pier
Brighton Pier
If you would like a great photograph with the beach and the city's ferris wheel in the background, you must visit Brighton Pier.
From there you can take photos like this to put in your photo album and keep it as a cute reminder of your holiday.
A brief history
This city's pier has a long history that you can summarise in a few brief words. And it's that a while ago there was not one, but two fires. They were the city's misfortune.
They couldn't conserve any part of the pier after the first fire, but the pier that they constructed previously and that burnt down a few years later in the second fire, managed to keep its metallic structure. It was left completely destroyed and broken into pieces, so they decided to construct a third one. Interestingly, this new one isn't unlike a theme park where fun takes precedence for both adults and children.
My experience
From the new and current pier, you can see the difference between this one and the old one, which you can see in the background of the image below. It has a dark structure due to the flames from the fire I told you about.
As you can appreciate in this next photograph, it's somewhere that many tourists visit.
You can see the huge clock that stands out as it's situated above the main entrance to the pier. Inside the pier building there are loads of varied stalls from ones that offer fast food, to restaurants of the best quality, ice cream places, photo booths, games kiosks (darts, table football... ), souvenir shops, rides for both small and older children, etc.
It's an ideal area for those with children as it's entertaining and safe. At the same time, you can enjoy a pleasant walk with some incredible views. Even at night there are some pubs and open air clubs, but only during the summer.
In short, you can find any mobile stall that you could possibly need! The pier itself is like a long promenade, quite narrow for the heaps of people that visit it. It never stops.
We never reached the end because of the time, as we left the pier visit till the end of the trip. Badly done.
Honestly, it's really worth even walking past it so you can take some really amazing photos, like this:
From another perspective of the city, we can see the length of the pier and at the end of it, there's a roller-coaster that goes on all day.
