What is it like to live in Boston? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Boston is a fantastic city, rich in history and culture. As one of the oldest cities in the United States, there is much to do from the museums to the famous Duck tours to walking the Freedom Trail. Growing up in the city and attending Boston College, I have been greatly immersed in Boston culture. Boston sports teams- the Red Sox (baseball), the New England Patriots (football), the Boston Bruins (hockey) and the Celtics (basketball) play a huge role in my life and in the Boston culture. We are very passionate about our sports teams. It is my favorite city in the world!
What is the student lifestyle like in Boston?
Along with all the different sporting events to attend, there are so many options to please those all of various preferences. There is always something to do in Boston, and all events are generally well-advertised.
How much does it cost to live in Boston?
It greatly varies on location in and around the city as well as number of roommates and condition of the apartment. For example, some rooms in apartments in Somerville, an area outside of Boston, can be around $600 a month.
What places would you recommend visiting in Boston?
Some great places in Boston include Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market which boasts great shopping and a variety of different cuisines. Another place is the North End which is Boston's "Little Italy". Newbury Street and the Prudential Center have some nice shops and demonstrate the Boston life.
Is the nightlife good in Boston? Where is good to go?
Boston has a numerous amount of bars and clubs, however only open until 2am. Fanueil Hall area is known to attract university students.
