Experience in Boston, United States
What is the student lifestyle like in Boston?
With too many colleges and universities to count, Boston is a hub for students. A large portion of the population is in their early to mid-twenties, especially during the school year. Much of the area caters to students and many places offer discounts.
How much does it cost to live in Boston?
Boston is not overwhelmingly expensive; however, it is noticeably more expensive than the suburbs.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Boston? Is there any advice you can give?
The best place to find housing is using Craigslist. Realtors are abundant, but charge a steep fee. Also, signing a lease for an apartment can be challenging since they tend to align with the student calendar and run from September 1st through August 31st of the following year.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
The food is nothing to rave about in general; however, great food of any origin can be found somewhere in the city. The North End naturally has great Italian food, and the many restaurants along Newbury St. offer plenty of delicious options.
What places would you recommend visiting in Boston?
