5 Essentials for 2019 in Europe
Another day, another post based on my experiences! I'm going to show you the places you should visit in 2019. If you haven't been there already, of course.
People like Europe, and they like it very much, every spectacular corner that its cities hide.
In Europe there is much more than Paris and Rome; there are cities that are little known to tourists but that are very much worth knowing.
1- Stockholm, Sweden.
From my point of view and from my own experience, Stockholm is the ideal city to have a good weekend. Nice city, if there ever was one.
Totally recommended!
Here you can visit, as I did, Gamla Stan (old town), the Vasa Museum, the rise to the Stadshuset tower, the Skansen Open Air Museum, the ABBA Museum, and the Royal Palace.
Stockholm hides many nooks and crannies worth visiting, among them the ones I was able to visit, which are.... SPECTACULAR!
2- Budapest, Hungary.
I always talk about Budapest, but it is very very charming, of course in my opinion. So every time I have to recommend a place to visit in Europe, I recommend Budapest.
Budapest is magic, and above all, at dusk when the city is illuminated and the reflections of the illuminated bridges and buildings are reflected in the Great Danube.
In Budapest, don't forget to visit the Buddha Castle, the great and beautiful Parliament, the Heroes Square, the Central Market. Boat trip on the Danube. Compulsory!
Have a drink at the Ruins Pub in Budapest, and try its most typical dish, the Goulash.
The Chain Bridge and the Fishermen's Bastion, essential.
Budapest hides so much that I would never be able to finish mentioning places to visit, so I recommend that you do it yourself, and enjoy this wonderful city.
Spectacular!
3- Porto, Portugal.
I was left with the fact that Porto is a strange and very colourful city, with an enchanting historic quarter and one of the best bookshops in the world.
It's a city that I loved and that is not much talked about as a destination in Europe, but, from my experience, I recommend it.
Adorable!
In Porto you can enjoy the Lello and Irmao Bookstore, the Porto Cathedral, the Barredo district and many other things.
4- Sofía, Bulgaria.
I arrived in Sofia by chance, it wasn't a destination you'd expect to visit, but I fell in love with it.
It is a simple but beautiful city, charming and welcoming. I would go back a thousand times more.
In it I could see countless churches and many parks, even when it was raining, like it was during my trip, but is a beautiful city.
I enjoyed every step I took and everything I saw. I loved it!
Don't forget to visit the Sofia Cathedral, the Sofia Regional Historical Museum, the Sofia Mosque, the Army Museum... And everything you find while enjoying a walk through this ancient city.
Enjoy Sofía!
5- Granada, Andalucía.
Granada is spectacular! It has a mountain range and the sea. In winter I love to visit it and enjoy the snow on the Sierra Nevada, and in summer I love the beach - "La Playa de la Herradura. "
In Granada you will enjoy wonderful gastronomy with many bars and terraces where you will enjoy something cool and the tapa that comes with it, and of course with some lovely views. You will settle in the bar that you sit down in.
But, in Granada you will also enjoy art, monuments and amazing corners, such as the Alhambra, the Saint Nicolás Viewpoint, the Neighbourhood of Albaicín, visit the Cathedral, and of course, take a walk and discover hidden corners.
Granada is magical!
I have already visited so many places all over Europe, I like so much that it would be impossible to summarise them all in one list, that's why I have recommended you the ones that I liked the most, and that are not so well known among the tourists who visit Europe.
No doubt, no matter where you visit, you will be amazed! Because Europe is.... Wonderful!
In the next post, travellers, we will find more places to visit in this beautiful land.
