The first payment

It is with pleasure that I have just received... the first payment of my scholarship! The first payment makes up one third of the total amount of the scholarship. The rest is received after completion of the internship. So to speak, depending on how many months you stay in the host company, it may be received after one, two, three,... six months. Which is the case for me. You must therefore have enough money put aside to manage for at least two and a half months without the bursary. In addition to this, the payment takes two weeks to arrive on your account. So do not count on it arriving quick. It's better to have a big leeway on of your bank account.

It is quite stressful that it takes two weeks to receive the money. You start to wonder if perhaps you have submitted the incorrect account number... But if your university coordinator does their job well, you will be informed by email about the acceptance of your first installment. Then it will also prevent you from waiting as long to receive the first payment.

Once the first part of the money is received, it is still necessary to wait a good four months to receive the rest; the remaining two thirds. You will have to complete an evaluation and wait a few weeks after returning to your home country (it is obligatory to have an airline ticket that officially marks your return to your country). If you want to stay in the host country, it is better to make a small return back home. If you find work in the host country (and with luck in the company hosting you) you do not have to have the return ticket at hand.
