Sauna
It was a normal afternoon during my second week in Tallinn when I discovered how many useful things you can do with a sauna.
I walked from my estonian friends´ apartment to the Academic Hostel. I just wanted to have dinner and to make the “transformation” (important word during my Erasmus period). Suddenly, the others came running to us. They started to speak loud but nobody could understand them. Then our estonian friends came into the room and started to talk as fast as they could.
-There is a sauna party, change your clothes, let´s go, we have to take the last tram. Run! Run!-
So… In that moment my brain stopped. A sauna party?? What should I wear to go to a sauna party? Just a bikini? A bikini and some shorts? Normal clothes? Party clothes? CRISIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok. Stop. I thought saunas were only to stay, to relax and a healthy way to reduce levels of stress, but… A sauna party? That was new for me!!
Once my brain reacted I started to ask questions about the party. We only had fifteen minutes to take the tram, so while my friends were giving me lot of information I started to put all my clothes out of the wardrobe. Thanks God I was not the only one like that, all the girls had started their fast “transformation”. It was crazy… The four of us running, using the toilet, choosing our clothes…
And, even though it seems unbelievable we took the tram. The girls, the boys and our drinks. All of us. Nobody got lost in that caos.
The party was pretty good, sorry for the pics… It was a sauna party so the camera did not work that well.. ;);)
So, that was the day I discovered that the sauna has more benefits than I thought. But this would not be the only adventure with a sauna. Maybe, next time there are some pictures ;)
