Magnifying glass on Malta: the point of view of Sales Executive interns

Expectation of Malta

When you hear about Maltese islands you know immediately what to expect: Mediterranean weather, nice beaches, melting pot of cultures and exciting nightlife. Once arrived, your expectations are not only confirmed but also exceeded!

People are always surprised by the friendliness and the support of Maltese and excited to start their life here, really appreciating everything around the city.

People and culture

Even if it is a small country with a little over 400,000 inhabitants, Malta receives people from all over the world, always laughing and smiling. However, English is the principal language used to communicate with everyone. Maltese culture can be defined a melting pot of Middle East and Italian culture. Also, food is a mixture of several cuisines.

Advantages for students

For all these reasons, Malta is the best place where students can discover new cultures, new perspectives of life and they can become more openminded and easy-going. It is also a great opportunity to improve English language, getting better day by day.

As an active country, students cannot get bored here! They will certainly find different activities according to their tastes: cultural sightseeing to Comino or to historical cities, sport events, parties and crazy nightlife. Also, movie fans have the chance to visit the places where many films were shot: “Games of Thrones” in Mdina, “Troy” in Blue Lagoon and “Gladiator” in Gozo and Comino.

Disadvantages for students

However, students should schedule their time for studying and time for social life and fun, since there is so much to do here. Despite Malta is an extremely safe country with a low crime rate, foreigners are advised to be careful regarding their belongings, seeing how many foreigners became victims of pick-pocketing.

If you are looking for an international experience which gives the possibility to improve your English, test yourself and learn so many things useful for your future career, Malta will be the best choice for you!
