Even if it is a small country with a little over 400,000 inhabitants, Malta receives people from all over the world, always laughing and smiling. However, English is the principal language used to communicate with everyone. Maltese culture can be defined a melting pot of Middle East and Italian culture. However, students should schedule their time for studying and time for social life and fun, since there is so much to do here. Despite Malta is an extremely safe country with a low crime rate, foreigners are advised to be careful regarding their belongings, seeing how many foreigners became victims of pick-pocketing.
