Carrefour found

We have survived the first crazy week in Turkey... somehow. We spent a lazy Sunday. Only breakfast was impressing, because we had it on the table spread on the floor. We sat cross‐legged and tucked in something like scrambled eggs, potatoes cut like chips, which did not taste like French fries at all.Of course we had also the olives, cheese sand the obligatory chai ‐ tea. The best part is that there was none of our roommates, but some of their friends who are practically living with us. So people who are living in ourapartment on Sefaköy is 8, althought his numberis constantly
changing...
Yesterday we ate supper at 1:00, again all on the floor. We watched with the guys movie "Contagion" (the first movie that came to my mind yesterday that I have already watched, just to know the plot – it is still difficult to watch movies in English without subtitles). It was displayed by the projector on the wall. Just like home movie theater, I do not know where they got this projector! We went to bed at 4:00 am!
I have noticed a correlation here.We are either completely full or we are starving. There is nothing in between. I do not know how it happens ;‐) we decided to give it up! We decided to go for good shopping!
We were glad as the children of our pink blankets, we were happy when we saw the first bigger store that had a little more than just candies, I enjoyed very much when I passed my driving license, but my happiness when we saw this huge shopping mall with all the necessary shops including Carrefour... that happiness just cannot be described!
Probably thousand times we asked Mehmet if there is any supermarket like Tesco, Carrefour, or something similar. He said that there is, but far away, so we very disappointed. So those small shops had to be enough. And suddenly this gallery in front of us, just a mile from our apartment! We entered happy as never before, and suddenly we saw the gates the same as at the airport!
In which Polish gallery, do you have to first ex‐ray your bag before you enter it?! Well, but we passed a control, which Kate shortly sums up: "You know! They probably do that because they have lots of attacks, don’t you think? "Yes, I immediately felt more safely...
It turns out that the food here is quite expensive.I don’t even wanna mention about alcohol. There wasn’t or I just haven’t seen yet any drinking yoghurt, which habitually drunk in Poland.
Of course, we met with many intrusive gazes of people around. The two pale faces, one with the blond ponytail, the other with short hair, which is very unlikely here (almost all Turkish women have long black hair). They stared terribly; they didn’t even try to hide it.
Another strange situation when we were on our way home. An old Turk accused us, he was saying something in Turkish, and we said "anlamadym!" ‐ "I do not understand," but he kept talking to himself. He followed us to the door. Then some woman came out from her apartment just to look at attractions such as Gośka and Kate, who laden with the shopping bags were crawlingon the 4th floor (no, unfortunately there is no lift).
