Arrival...
I look back and I remember of those days so far away, when the erasmus' adjudications took place at my university, the University of Valencia. After a lot of thinking, I had decided that my first option was gonna be Oslo, capital of Norway. I had checked out thousands of informations: I had talked to people who were there, I had looked for the residence, the food, transport… I had an idea about how much it was going to be (a lot…).
As January was closer it was stranger to think of I was going to be abroad for 6 months (yeaaaah!). I bought the plane ticket to the 18th of January. I extended my trip so far because I felt bad because of my mother (NEVER EVER DO THIS, I was stupid, don't be stupid too).
I remember of my brother taking me to the airport of Alicante and saying goodbye in tears. Even so, I was really excited and I was looking forward to arrive. The flight lasted around 4 hours, of which I slept 2 more or less. We were 20 inside the dangerous Ryanair plane.
A Spanish guy waited for me there whom I had been talking for 5 months before going and, very kind of him (despite we live in the same building we do not meet anymore ahaha), he came to pick me up to the bus station. From the station we took the t-bane (metro) that took us to Kringsjå, the residence where an empty and yellow hospital walls room was waiting for me.
The T-bane costs 30kr one way in Oslo, around 3.60€ (pain for my pocket). For me, as a student, It existed the option of buying the mensual ticket for 50€ per month. But this ticket is a little bit… relative, I will talk about if ahead…
The good thing of these tickets is that you can use them to take metro, bus, ferry and tram.
Kringsjå is 20 minutes far from downtown, in the suburbs, next to the forest and a wonderful lake called Sognsvann.
When I arrived to the residence I had the incredible adventure of calling the security girl…in Norwegian. After 30 minutes waiting in front of the supermarket I asked a girl to call for me to the security girl and after 20 more minutes she came and gave me the keys. At -10ºC…
So, my room was meant to be the 401, building 28, where I was going to live the next awesome 6 months.
I will keep writing. If you have any doubt, ask!
PS. Sorry for the mistakes…
