There is an association called ESN that hosts Erasmus-students and helps them to set themselves up and creates opportunities to meet and visit the new country. Along with them, we had the chance to see beautiful places and this is the first place we visited: Pyramidenkogel.

The Pyramidenkogel Tower gives us an amazing view on the Hohe Tauern to the north to the Caravanche chain to the south and to the mountains which divide Austria, Italy and Slovenia. All around you can observe the beautiful lakes, in the foreground, we can see the Wörthersee, the largest lake in the region. In order to reach the top, you can take advantage of a panoramic lift or alternatively you can climb the stairs, only for the braves !! There are three platforms, of which the highest is 71 meters. This is made up of 16 sloping upholstered wooden pillars, stabilized by 10 steel rings and 80 transverse rods. To get off you can use a fun 120-meter long slide.

Obviously, I am a sporty and courageous girl and so someone forced me to climb up the stairs and, step by step, I lost a few pieces of lungs but I've gained so much wonder in watching what was around me! Anyone in Klagenfurt should take a leap and I assure you that you will be rewarded by the magnificent landscapes! But the fun part will be to get the beer waiting at the feet of this tower and reach it with the fantastic long slide!
