Experience in Barcelona, Spain by Saba
What is it like to live in Barcelona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
If I have to describe Barcelona in one word, I would call it "LIVELY". Barcelona is a very lively and very multicultural city. The city has a lot to offer. From sandy beaches to green mazes to amazing spectacular architecture. However, if you are a quiet person who prefers peaceful and not crowded places, I am afraid Barcelona is not the right place for you. And yes Barcelona is full of South Asians. In some areas, in fact, I felt I was back in Pakistan.
What is the student lifestyle like in Barcelona?
Generally Barcelona, in fact, most of Southern Europe is famous more for parties and a crazy life style for students. Although if you want to study, you can find numerous libraries.

It is not difficult, there are numerous options available. But to get the best offer, it is better not to wait till the last moment for accommodation hunt.

Spanish cuisine is diverse and delicious. From Spanish rice to Spanish tortillas to the bread with tomatoes to Patata Brava, everything is yummy.
What places would you recommend visiting in Barcelona?
Of course the mighty Sagrada Familia.
Among beaches I would recommend Barceloneta. You should also see Parc del Laberint d'horta, Arc de Triomf.

It can be a really good choice and you can easily find cuisine from different parts of the world and that too at reasonable prices. If you are looking for South Asian food, you can try Himalaya Restaurant and Cordoba.
Is the nightlife good in Barcelona? Where is good to go?
I am not a "Party" person so I don't have a real experience in this regard, however, I am more than sure that the nightlife of Barcelona is not going to disappoint you.
What advice would you give future students heading to Barcelona?
In order to enjoy your life in Barcelona, make sure that you come here with an open mind, with tolerance for different cultures, religions and races. If there are any particular stereotypes that you believe in, better do your homework (I mean some research) to know the truths.
