What is it like to live in Aveiro? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

You feel safe and warm. There are couple of places where you can always meet someone you know.

What is the student lifestyle like in Aveiro?

It strongly depends on the major, but overall there is enough time for all the activities (ie. partying, travelling, chilling on the beach, surfing)

How much does it cost to live in Aveiro?

About 300-400 euros per month

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Aveiro? Is there any advice you can give?

It may be hard sometimes, so it's best to handle it in advance.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is great. I personally love their burgers and special meal called francesinha. Girls would also love those sweet things here.

What places would you recommend visiting in Aveiro?

Definitely Costa Nova and its beach, city center with its channel and fish market called Praça do Peixe (where are most of the bars to visit at night)

Is it good to eat out in Aveiro? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yeah, that would be our bar Convivio (you can have there pretty exciting dinners with friends or just drink beer and play pool), Café Ramona (very unique and tasty burgers) and Cais Madeirense (where you can taste some of Madeira's special food and drinks)

Is the nightlife good in Aveiro? Where is good to go?

It's pretty great. You hit Convivio for instance and then go to praça (a square with fish market during a day) where you have plenty of bars to dance. There is also one big dance club with more of a club music.

What advice would you give future students heading to Aveiro?

Have some warm clothes and be prepared for cold apartments during winter. Don't forget about the rain days either.
