Why did you choose to go to Aveiro, Portugal?
It was the only city in Portugal in my university but I have choosen to go to Aveiro because it's a small city and a university campus as well.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
It depends on your family income but generally is 300-400 euros.
What is the student lifestyle like in Aveiro?
Aveiro has a university campus.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Aveiro to other students?
Of course!
What is the food like?
Codfish in every sauce... but was good.
How did you find your accommodation?
In a real estate agency and billboard at the university.
What are the accommodation prices like? What are prices like for other things in general?
100 up to 130 euros for a single room.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
For italian speaking is simple but there are many Portuguese language courses, it depends on your level.
In August-September there is a Portuguese language course for beginners before they start lessons, after that there are other courses.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Aveiro from your city?
The best way to come in Portugal is by Ryanair or Windjet.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Aveiro?
And surroundings...
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Aveiro?
University Canteen or Convivio but there are many shopping centres with economic restaurants inside.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Aveiro in the future?
