What is it like to live in Athens? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Athens is probably the coolest European city to live in right now.

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

Expect to be out late. Its a true 24hr scene in Athens so there's always somewhere to go next. From the Commercial party area of Gazi to the Bars and square around Exarchia.

In the day take your studies to the beach with you. The Sun, blue sky's and sea is of course another part of the city lifestyle.

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

You can live well for a low price in Athens. A beer and 'Giros' which is a delicious meal of pork or chicken wrapped with chips salad and a sauce in a soft pitta bread.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Athens? Is there any advice you can give?

The nearer you are to the centre of the city it can get expensive. but public transport is good and generally reliable. So living a little away from University is easy to do.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

An abundance Souvlaki grills and restuarants everywhere serving delicious grilled meat and other dishes to washed down with a cold beer you won't go hungry here.

What places would you recommend visiting in Athens?

There are so many great places to visit and things to do here that there's not the space here to list all the amazing stuff to do and see.

Is the nightlife good in Athens? Where is good to go?

The nightlife here is in my opinion some of the best in Europe right now. From the buzzing commercial and busy areas of Gazi to the downtown neighbourhoods of Monestraki and Exarchia. It starts late and goes long here.
