What is it like to live in Athens? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Athens usually excites people. Athens has a really active nightlife, to many people to meet and party with. Lots of museums and architecture to see. And of course lets not forget the variety of Greek food flavors Athens has to offer.

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

I would describe student lifestyle in Athens pretty vapid. However, due to the fact i am from Athens, but i happen to study in another city, i cant offer much in-tell in Athens' student lifestyle.

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

Its a rather expensive city, as far as i know. In other cities in Greece the cost of life is a lot less.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Athens? Is there any advice you can give?

Athens offers lots of houses to rent or buy. The difficulty of finding a place to stay comes down to where in Athens you want to live. For students that are interested in studying in Athens id suggest to find a place close to the center, so they can go out and at the same time close to their universities.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Greek food has a variety of flavors. I love salad and meat. Actually to be honest i basically like Greek food. I would suggest to somebody that comes here to try for sure Greek salad and souvlaki (a famous Greek fast food) but also ask around for traditional restaurants and try the Greek flavors.

What places would you recommend visiting in Athens?

Of the Acropolis. Also the Attics park. And different museums all over town. I would also suggest to somebody to visit some natural spots as mountains lakes etc.

Is it good to eat out in Athens? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It depends on the place. You gotta do some research on it. Personally i would suggest to visit Cholargos (and area in Athens, you can go with the subway) and go it at Juicy Burger. People go there to eat from all over town. It has amazing meat.

Is the nightlife good in Athens? Where is good to go?

Yeah it is loud and crowded, also soft and easy. It depends on what you prefer. But you can find everything.

What advice would you give future students heading to Athens?

Do a very good research about where to stay. Makes sure its close to the subway.
