What is it like to live in Athens? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Living in Athens sounds challenging for many people because of the historical background, the night life and the crowded places. However life there is not always easy. Long distances, traffic and noise is sometimes exausting.

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

There are many opportunities and events for the students especially in the center of the city. On the other in smaller people have usually more free time while the trasportation is more flexible

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

It depents on the area. The studens' regiongs rends are about 200 or 300 euros for a small appartment. It is required at least other 300 euros for the othes costs.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Athens? Is there any advice you can give?

No especially nowadays it is really easy to find accommodation. It is better for students to find an apparment next to the university or in the nearby area.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

People can find many trasitional greek disches there fir all the tastes. Also junk food preety good. Personally I prefer 'lternative' greek disches

What places would you recommend visiting in Athens?

To visit the ancient sights and to explore the center of the city. Many amasing surprises are hidden in the paths.

Is it good to eat out in Athens? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

There are plenty of restaurants and taverns and in really low prices. Ano petralona, gazi are my favourite spots.

Is the nightlife good in Athens? Where is good to go?

Absolutely! Gazi and monastiraki are the most popular in the center. During summer the south part ot Athens has great fame.

What advice would you give future students heading to Athens?

To explore the city and find the places that mark more to their personallity, to taste differend flavours to have fun and to take care.
