What is it like to live in Athens? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I am not native greek but i live in Greece for years now and i just love it! I guess its different for different people but i fill like i have been here in previous life. Would i recommend to go in Athens? Yes, the same as i can recommend to try everything new. Go see by yourself and if you dont like it, just move on. That simple.

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

This depends on you only. Some people can live on minimum and some even could not think to live without everyday party. Minimum-you can rent for example my apartment for 250 euros,pay bills-another 100 euros, cook at home-300-400, plus some extra money 150-200. So i think 800-1000 per month will be ok. Of course it will be different sum for smoker and drinker.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Athens? Is there any advice you can give?

Its very easy to find any type of accommodation. Look on this site, or craiglist, or something like that. I read sometimes that ads because i rent off my flat too and i can say that normal price for studio or one room apartment for now is 200-250 euros(without bills)
Some owners ask too much money for really nothing. Or even ask 250 euros just for one room. Read more ads before choosing something. My 2 room flat is for rent just for 250 euros.

What places would you recommend visiting in Athens?

Acropolis of course!

What advice would you give future students heading to Athens?

Try everything that you want to try and dont be afraid of doing mistakes. Mistakes-its experience and any experience give you something to think about.
