What is it like to live in Athens? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Athens is an up and coming city. I am so pleased to have made the move here, regardless of the work situation. I highly recommend to everyone and anyone to come and live here. The city is rough, vibrant, inviting, and so alive. It is never the same in any spot.

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

There are many schools and event shere happening around the center, so that any type of student can have a great time.

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

You can survive on 1000 €/month.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Athens? Is there any advice you can give?

So far it has been okay. There seems to be a lot of talk about Airbnb taking over, but there are countless groups and people on Facebook to help out.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Food is the best. It isn't just Greek food, but there are many eclectic options: Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Kazakhstani, American, Hispanic, etc. If you do eat Greek food, it is almost always fresh and comes at a good price. I just love that, buying vegetables and fruits here costs almost nothing.

What places would you recommend visiting in Athens?

The center has always something to offer, the Acropolis, Plaka, Psiri, Ymmitos Mountain...

Is it good to eat out in Athens? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes! Harvest, Papa George, Ohh Boy, Veganaki, Bios, Flower Pizza, Kolimpri.

Is the nightlife good in Athens? Where is good to go?

Of course. I am not much for nightlife but I was never disappointed by Six Dogs.

What advice would you give future students heading to Athens?

Come. You will have the time of your life.
