What is it like to live in Athens? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Athens is a good place to live and I would have no hesitation on recommending it!!A lot of nightlife and a lot of beautiful places to visit!!

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

I could say that Athens is the 'paradice' for somebody who is studying.In the mornings,you go to the university and then you can enjoy your coffee with a view to the Acropole or you can even go to other places near to the sea!!..But the best things for a student,begin when the night falls!

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

Athens is not cheap,but its not also expensive.An average price for a drink is 5 euros and you need about 8 euros so as to have a full menu of food!!

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Athens? Is there any advice you can give?

I think that its easy to find accommodation in Athens.There are a lot of possible places for rent.You can find a place through a newspaper,internet,the university.(average price 300 euros)

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Everybody is goona love the greek food.my favourite:spanakopita,pita guros,mousakas

What places would you recommend visiting in Athens?

Acropole and the Museum,Thisio,Monastiraki,Likavitos,Megaro Mousikis,Paraliaki,Faliro,Lofos Strefi,Liriki Skini,Mizon Ellinismos,Alsos Veikou,Parko Tritsi and a lot more that i cant think now!

Is it good to eat out in Athens? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It depends,if you want to spend a lot of money for eating you can find very good restaurants with a very good quality of food,but if you want to eat cheap,I reccommend all the greek souvlatzidika and tavernes which you can find everywhere.With 5 euros you wont be hungry any more,but thats not for every day!!

Is the nightlife good in Athens? Where is good to go?

Nightlife is not just good,its the best..There are a lot of clubs and bars!!.I suggest paraliaki(if you are in a summer period),kolonaki,psiri,gazi,thiseio.kifisia,nea eruthraia,marousi,neo iraklio,mpournazi.

What advice would you give future students heading to Athens?

I would advice them to be careful,because some places in Athens are really dangerous.In addition,they shouldn't be under the influence of alcochol or drugs,as long as they cannot control themselves,'cause they might be in danger!
