Erasmus Experience in Athens, Greece by Violaine

Why did you choose to go to Athens, Greece?

Because I didn't have a lot of choice and I really wanted to learn English. Athens was the only University which offered courses in English.

How long is your stay? How much financial help do you get?

6 months. I receive CROUS (regional) grants as well as Erasmus grants (which arrive very late). I receive about 700 euros a month.

What's the student atmosphere like?

Very good. The ESN is great and offers lots of things to do.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Athens to other students?

Yes, if you like the sun, heat, parties....

How do you find the country's food?

There isn't a lot of variation.
