Why did you choose to go to Athens, Greece?

For the weather and the culture of the country.

How long was your stay? What amount of aid did you receive?

4 and a half months from September until the beginning of February. I received 200 euros of aid per month.

How is the student atmosphere in Athens?

Great! There are many students (Erasmus or not) in Athens and they organize parties on every street corner.

Do you recommend the city and the university in Athens to other students?

Yes! I studied at AUEB in Athens.

How is the food in that country?

The best, whether it's Greek salads or pita/souvlaki... it's really good.

Did you have any difficulties finding housing in Athen?

No, on Facebook there are numerous groups that help you find roommates or apartments, it's really simple.

What is the cost of living in Athens?

That depends, but in general it's rather less expensive than Paris or France in general.

How was the language learning process? Did you have language classes organized by the university?

It's important to know that Greek is very difficult to learn. I attended Greek classes at the university and the professor was great.

What is the most economical way to get to Athen from your city?

From Paris, there aren't many possibilities... Airplane.

Where do you recommend to party in Athens?

You can party all over Athens but I recommend Monastiraki and Gazi.

And eating in Athens? What are your favorite places?

The best Pita is at Gazi (MyPlate). And also the little restaurants around Monastiraki for good Greek salads.

And what cultural sights do you recommend?

The Acropolis obviously, but also Mount Likabatus, Monastirake, Plaka. And outside of Athens: Epidarus, Meteora, Santorini, Mykonos...
