Why did you choose to go to Athens, Greece?

I am half Greek half Swedish and I have always wanted to try to live in Greece. That was a decision that I will never regret. After my Erasmus I decided to stay in Athens for my Internship.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

I got 300 euro each month from the Swedish Government and additionally, I believe, 1700 euro from the Erasmus Scholarship.

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

If you want to be with Erasmus people ESN is organizing a lot (I never went), instead, I went to local bars and tried to interact with local people as well as international students. This is for me the best. I had great much fun!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Athens to other students?

Yes and no depending on whom. People who are easily scared, who likes it clean, modern and organized should look for something else. People who can see the charm in the chaos should definitely go.

One word. Gyros.

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

It's cheap. I am from Sweden, what can I say.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

I speak Greek already so I cannot answer. But yes, they have courses available at the University.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Athens from your city?

Flight around 70 euro one way.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Athens?

I could write a book. Walk around Athens and you will find.

Go there, live it, love it.
