Why did you choose to go to Athens, Greece?

Because Athens was close to my country and it was cheaper there were tons of things that I wanted to see aaaaand it was easier for me to give my classes ^^!

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was for 5 months and 400 euros each month for me and I spent like 1200-1300 euros in Athens.

What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?

For my friends from Greece they had to work a lot but they had a lot of time to spend with us too and for Eramus srudents it was way easier. I had a lot of time to travel around, party and learn about their culture and language.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Athens to other students?

Because its basically a city for students and its cheaper than most of European cities so there was a lot of opportunities for Erasmus students to take.

What is the food like?

Mostly based on sea food or wraps but they all were delicious and there are tons of foreign food types too so it was beautiful.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Athens?

No, it did not.

How much does it cost to live in Athens?

For me it cost like 200 euros each month 250 at most.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Yes, they have language courses but their language is quite a complicated one to be honest. If you want to learn you have to focus only on language for at least 2-3 months.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Athens from your city?

Aegean Airlines. (Plane)

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Athens?

It depends if you like partying its definitly Kerameikos. If you like culturel music and speak with your friends its Monastiraki if you like to stay by some sights and enjoy the moment its Piraeus, Likavittos or Plaka.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Athens?

I don't remember the names of the restaurants but basiclt Gyroses are same nearly everywhere. There is a Indian food shop and a dessert shop in Monastiraki that you need to go for sure.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

There are a lot: Acropolis, Plaka, Likavittos, Temple of Poseidon, tons of museums of course and those are the ones in Athens. There are lots of places like these all around Greece.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Athens in the future?

You don't need to think about it just go and enjoy the moment it will be a different experience for most of you but it definitly worths.
