Why did you choose to go to Athens, Greece?
First of all, due to quite similar culture with Turkey and also weather.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
My scholarship for 4 months. I take 500 € per month from my university.
What is the student lifestyle like in Athens?
It is amazing. You can find international students in the center in everywhere. And the events, people who help you are amazing, helpful.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Athens to other students?
Yes, I would.
What is the food like?
Food is pretty beautiful. Maybe to be vegan can be a bit hard.
Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Athens?
No, it didn’t.
How much does it cost to live in Athens?
The rent is around 270-320 € per month and social life basically is around 100-150 €.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
Greek language is not that much easy to get to grips with but universities have courses to teach it.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Athens from your city?
Airplane.
Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Athens?
Gazi, Plaka.
And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Athens?
Rozalia is the traditional and cheap restaurant.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
There are many. My favorites are Acropolis, Temple of Panteon, lycabettus.
Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Athens in the future?
Don’t have doubt to come to Athens!
