Really Nice Cafe Bar/Art gallery

Published by flag-gr George A. — 8 years ago

A really nice coffee bar in the middle of the metropolis. Positioned in a narrow street traversing the well-known flea market in Monastiraki. It's a must-go destination for your midday snack, afternoon coffee or night drink. Approaching it, you will only see a minimalistic greek "T" red sign (which if you're well observing, you will find it across the flea market in Monastiraki, directing you to the cafe) and a small rugged old school door. This is it. Nothing else. Once you get in, you can understand the magic of this place. The interior is an open-roof big spacious back alley of old houses and buildings, with the bar placed in the back of it. The little terraces on the sides make you feel like you are in the middle of a tiny neighborhood. It is a really spacious place but it makes you feel cozy at the same time.

Enjoy the shade in a real sunny day, or keep dry in a really wet one. TAF bar is weatherproof. If you're there for your coffee, check on the menu the different varieties of the coffee blends. They're just fantastic! If you're gonna drink some alcohol, just check the cocktails. You will be fascinated! Another fantastic feature of this cafe, is that in the same space, there is an art gallery. So once you step in, you can find info about what creations are exposed during that period.

I hope that I helped you get a nice taste of it. Have a great time in Athens and enjoy yourself!

Access:

  • Via metro train, blue line and green line Station Monastiraki (3mins)
  • On foot from Syntagma square, enjoying a nice walk in the popular and full of shops Ermou Street
