What is it like to live in Antwerp? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Living in Antwerp is awesome! There's a lot of things to do, a lot of parties, exhibitions in museums, galleries etc. If somebody likes culture, music, fashion and design - Antwerp is perfect! I recommend it!
What is the student lifestyle like in Antwerp?
In Antwerp is a lot of opportunities to get to know new people, there is also ESN, which organize really great events! The city is full of international students, so the atmosphere is so good!
How much does it cost to live in Antwerp?
Monthly 200-300EUR + room/flat costs
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Antwerp? Is there any advice you can give?
Yes, I had a big problem to find a good and cheap accomodation, but there's a lot of rooms to rent for example in a student house and it's much easier to live there
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Food is delicious! My favourite dish (of course) is french fries, but I recommend seafood, it's so good in this city.
What places would you recommend visiting in Antwerp?
MAS, MUHKA, Rubenshuis, FoMu, MoMu, Stadspark, Jewish quarter, Central Railway Station
Is it good to eat out in Antwerp? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
This is really expensive, if you want to eat out. Students usually prepare their food in a flat/room. But, actually, I really like one pizzeria in Antwerp - Da Giovanni - the best one:)
If you want to buy some french (belgian) fries, the best one are at Ossenmarkt and Groenplaats
Is the nightlife good in Antwerp? Where is good to go?
You have to go to Cafe Local, De Prof, Cafe d'Anvers and Red&Blue
What advice would you give future students heading to Antwerp?
Rent a room in student house, it's much better to integrate with international students
