Why did you choose to go to Antwerp, Belgium?

Because I liked the courses I could do there

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

6months, 270 euros a month

What is the student lifestyle like in Antwerp?

that's nice, the ESN organization creates events useful to socialize, the only pity is that ALL OF THEM take part at the Proff, a stinky disco-pub that I really didn't like.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Antwerp to other students?

yes, both of them. university is very modern, and I think it's at the sema time easier and more useful than in my country

What is the food like?

fries, chocolate, crief, and then fries, sauces and bread, and fries again ;)

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Antwerp?

not really, I found that using internet before going there and I spent much less than in my country fora single room

How much does it cost to live in Antwerp?

I guess that you can have a pretty cool life with 550 euros. It gives you the possibility to party, hang out, travel around Belgium, going to pubs and clubs and rent a single room

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

yes, an intensive language course. I actually didn't learn that much of dutch, but still you can easily live in english, everyone speaks that

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Antwerp from your city?

I guess it's take a plan to Charleroi sud and then going to Antwerp bus train, bus or carpooling

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Antwerp?

depends on your taste, i liked De Muze jazz pub and some nice pubs, I really love belgian beers. if you prefer clubs I know that Cafè Lokaal is considered pretty cool

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Antwerp?

I like ethnic food, so I know soem cheap places around the central station, there is an all-you-can-eat vegetarian indian restaurant , soem good Chinese places, a mexican buffet near grotenmaarkt..

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

the cathedral, the vles house, the Schelda, Grotenmarkt and Groenplaats..

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Antwerp in the future?

just have fun!
