Havana

Havana, located in El Barrio in Alicante, is truly a haven for all international students. Here, it was impossible not to bump into somebody you recognised from class, or just from around university. And even if you didn't know anybody - you soon will by visiting Havana a couple of times!

Every Thursday is the student night in Havana, and it really is the place to be. International students know how to party! With cheap drinks, great music and a fantastic group of people, it is always a good night in Havana.

Although quite small, it packs in a lot of character. It plays both Spanish and English music, which is a bonus, because Spanish music is my favourite, but it's always good to have a few songs in there you can sing your heart out to. The bar staff are also very friendly - including the manager!

I can't stress enough how much this place improved my Erasmus experience in Spain. Making it possible to meet people from all over the world, and make long-lasting friendships, to me it is more than just a club.

So if ever in Alicante, visiting Havana is a must. You will not regret it.
