Why did you choose to go to Warsaw, Poland?

I'm interested in WWII History, also wanted to experience a east-european country

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

4 Months, I recive less than 180 Euros per month,which don't cover even the rent, if you live in a normal room and not in a dormitory from university

What is the student lifestyle like in Warsaw?

in winter semester it's getting dark already at 3:3-4 p.m., so don't expect very much sun light, but if you want to hang out in the city, there are a lot of options. I didn't wanto to go party very often, but instead of this I visited a lot of interesting museums and galleryes.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Warsaw to other students?

Yes, it's cheap and has a lot of cultural offers

What is the food like?

didn't tryed very much the local food

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Warsaw?

no,but it was difficult

How much does it cost to live in Warsaw?

depends where do you live 350 Euros per Month should be more than enough;

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

language courses are avaliable but the language is really hard

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Warsaw from your city?

hitchhiking or bus

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Warsaw?

Kinoteka, Rock Caffe

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Warsaw?

no :))

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Archeological Museum, Ethnographic museum, National Gallery, Chopin Museum, Modern Art Gallery, Warsaw Uprising Museum,Royal Castle, Wilanow Museum, Multimedia Fountain, etc.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Warsaw in the future?

-it may be a problem to withdraw money from your card (will get very disadvantageous exchange courses)-best option is to bring cash with you and change it by Kantors
-be aware of immobiliar scams
-bring warm clothes with you
-you'll need a lot of patience in order to register for the university courses
