Why did you choose to go to Vilnius, Lithuania?

The only choice I had :). But to be honest I've never regretted that.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

Beginning of September - end of January.

What is the student lifestyle like in Vilnius?

Fun as everywhere. The main spice of Erasmus study programme are people!

Would you recommend the city and the University of Vilnius to other students?

Sure.

What is the food like?

Very interesting for people from far away, fun to explore Lithuanian cuisine.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Vilnius?

Nope, dorm.

How much does it cost to live in Vilnius?

Depends how much you party.

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

Courses are available, but it's not a piece of cake to learn Lithuanian.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Vilnius from your city?

Train to Warszaw and then Simple Express bus company to Vilnius.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Vilnius?

Yes, even during hard winter times - it's very magical!

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Vilnius?

Definitely Alaus namai (House of Beer) and very cozy Snekutys close to Vilnius bus station.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Historical center. Europas Parkas.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Vilnius in the future?

Beware - it will be the best time you had at school! :)
