What is it like to live in Rome? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Rome is a classic and historical city with vast tourists. I would recommend it only for the exchange students as it is very expensive living in Rome. In Rome, one will never feel alone, as all you need is to go out and have a visit to Vatican, Colosseum, Piazza Venezia and etc, you will definitely will meet someone from your country.

Honestly, it is not as good as other European countries.

Min 400 Euro for housing and Min 400 for Monthly food as well as 200 for other cost, so total of min 1000 Euro per month.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Rome? Is there any advice you can give?

Hell yeah. Housing for students would be difficult to be found easily. I recommend to stay in hostels for a week or two week till you find a roommate and then rent an apartment. There are plenty of websites that you could search for an apartment. Usually one room in a shared apartment will cost you 400 Euros including the utilities bill.

Food is good but again a little expensive. My favorite meal is Pizza Margarita. Don't forget to taste it before you leave Rome.

Well the nightlife depends on the location of your staying and housing. A general advice could be to make sure to not carry your mobile phone in hand, it is better to secure it in a pocket and have your earphone while talking.

Do your financing before departure. It will be costly to stay in Rome, due to Rome is a touristic city.
