Why did you choose to go to Zlin, Czech Republic?

I choose Zlin, because no one in my university has went until there and me and my collegues would like to experience a new city. Tomas Bata University have a good website well presented for foreign students so we easelly get all information and then we just choose not thinking too much.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was from february until may, you can stay until end of june but you have no more exams or classes. I get like 270 euros per month. But it depends, from where the student came and not of Tomas Bata University.

What is the student lifestyle like in Zlin?

They start early their classes but is like that in all Czech republic lifestyle. They study but they like to party as well with some partys during the semester, but there's some party every week. Special for Erasmus students.

Would you recommend the city and the University of Zlin to other students?

Yes definetly. I had great time there I'm revenged for just going one semester! The city is too quiet, but if you have some free mind and iniciative and a good crew, you can always have fun!

What is the food like?

The czech one i didnt appreciate personally, but there's more kind of offers in the city.

Did it cost you to find your accommodation in Zlin?

No, I went to the students residence (recommended).

How much does it cost to live in Zlin?

Not expensive at all. To eat, to have fun is cheap!

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?

There's a course of czech, I did it but is quiet difficult. But almost everyone speaks English.

What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Zlin from your city?

To Prague or Brno and then train.

Where would you recommend to go on a night out in Zlin?

Metro. Indians pub.

And for eating? Can you recommend some good restaurants in Zlin?

Tam Tam and I dont remember the other's ones name.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Dont know.

Is there any other advice that you could give to students going to Zlin in the future?

Enjoy as much as possible, time goes fast! Travel on weekends!
