Why did you choose to go to York, United Kingdom?

For academic reasons.

How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?

It was 10 months long and I received roughly 1, 500 euros.

What is the student lifestyle like in York?

Incredible, everyone is really friendly and it's really easy to get to know new people.

Would you recommend the city and the University of York to other students?

Yes.

Did it cost you to find accommodation in York?

A little, because in the UK it is hard to find cheap accommodation and I had certain things that I wanted (a microwave, a dryer... ).

How much does it cost to live in York?

For me, it costs around £400 a month without counting leisure activities (food and bills).

Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?

No, I have a level C2 at the moment so I don't need to.

What is the easiest way to get to York from your city?

I live in York.

What good cultural sites are there to visit?

Any part of the city, but walking over York City wall is a lovely experience.

What advice would you give future students heading to York?

Travel around the city via bike because it is the cheapest way, and not difficult as the roads are very flat.
