What is it like to live in Yogyakarta? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Yogyakarta is a very peaceful city. Tt is a good city to live, especially for student. It has its own character and vibes that will steal your heart once you get there. The friendly people are very welcome there and will share everything about the city life. The city has various tourism object, whether it is nature tourism and cultural tourism. If you like learning cultures then Yogyakarta will be a perfect place to visit!

What is the student lifestyle like in Yogyakarta?

The student lifestyle is good, I mean it is a good city to study. There are many universities and colleges there where there are also multicultural students studying there. A good friendly interactions with the locals combined with one of the healthiest work-life balances in Indonesia make Yogyakarta a top destination for students.

How much does it cost to live in Yogyakarta?

The cost for living in Yogyakarta is average, you will spend around Rp. 1.000.000-Rp. 2.000.000 (65$-125$) for a month living in a comfortable place. There will be many choices for a place to live, like homestay, house to rent, and boarding house.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Yogyakarta? Is there any advice you can give?

No, not at all. You can rent a motorcylce or a car with the approximate price around 7$ for motorcyle and 15$ for a car per day. But I recommend you to go with the online transportation that you can order it online through the application.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food are amazing, everybody has to try Gudeg! it is a traditional food in Yogyakarta.

What places would you recommend visiting in Yogyakarta?

I recommend you to visit Tamansari, Malioboro, Prambanan, and also Borobudur but it's 1 hour from Yogyakarta.

Is it good to eat out in Yogyakarta? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Yes, it is. There will be many spots to eat there with various kinds of menu to offer. I don't have any certain favorite spot, I just recommend you to stroll around you will find it easily!

Is the nightlife good in Yogyakarta? Where is good to go?

The nightlife is amazing! having a night stroll is something that I often do with my friends. It is good to go around Malioboro, "Alun-Alun Kidul" field, and Prawirotaman. With good live musics and food and beverages that are served there, it will give you a joy night with your friends

What advice would you give future students heading to Yogyakarta?

To all future students who are planning to visit and study in Yogyakarta, I assure you, it will be one of your greatest uncomfortable moment in your life! You are welcome here, and we can't wait to see you here!
