What is it like to live in Wroclaw? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Yes, I do recomend to live in Wroclaw. This city has the climate, the scent, the view, the feeling you're in the right place. The city has everything you need to feel like at home no matter if you come from huge aglomeration or a small villige. Should I compare to any other european city I say: Prague.
What is the student lifestyle like in Wroclaw?
The best you can imagine. People are openminded, free of boundaries, there's no such thing that could not happen here. One can easily find a good balance between study hard and party wild.
How much does it cost to live in Wroclaw?
It's more expensive in comparison to other polish cities but far cheaper than any other european city west from Poland. Burger: 3EUR, Pannini: 5EUR, Beer in shop: 1EUR, Beer in club: 2EUR, drink: 4EUR, tram ticket: 0,8EUR, room/month: 200EUR, taxi:0,8EUR/km, dinner at restaurant for two+glass of wine: 25EUR.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Wroclaw? Is there any advice you can give?
There's a lot of rooms in the city and I mean A LOT. It's not a problem to find a room even with english speaking roommates.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
There's a lot of food variety. From burger to sushi. Italian, chinese, vegan, greek, mexican, everything you need.
What places would you recommend visiting in Wroclaw?
University bulding (the tower, aula), the Cathedral, kings palace, japanese garden, islands, bridges (all of them), every pub in the city center, the old library at Szajnochy, the puppet theater, opera, national museaum, Panorama of the Battle of Racławice, riverside, podwale, and maaany others.
Is it good to eat out in Wroclaw? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Yes it's really good. Everybody need to check and find the best suitable.
Is the nightlife good in Wroclaw? Where is good to go?
It's all about nightlife. Almost 10% of Wroclaw population are the students. This means Wrocław stays up until sunrise. It's really hard to spot the changing point between saturday nigth and sunday noon ;)
What advice would you give future students heading to Wroclaw?
Don't be a show off, act natural and you will be accepted here.
