Experience in Wroclaw, Poland by Cindy

What is it like to live in Wroclaw? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

I would totally recommend living in Wroclaw. It is a vibrant and lively city with lots of sights, clubs, restaurants and bars, so perfect for students. The prices are low compared to Germany. Everything is really near by so you can walk everywhere.

What is the student lifestyle like in Wroclaw?

Wroclaw is absolutly perfect for students. It offers an amazing night life, lots of sights, history, amazing prices and awesome activties. There are many many students form abroad so the student community is really international.

How much does it cost to live in Wroclaw?

For my shared flat I paid 270 Euros/month, which in fact is actually expensive. But it was worth it because my flat was really big and fancy and close to the centre. You can also get really cheap rooms for example in the student dorms. There its only about 100Euros/month. For food I usually paid about 100-110Euros a month. But I love to cook for myself, so I bought lots of fresh and expensive products. You can have it a lot cheaper. It also includes coffee and eating out.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Wroclaw? Is there any advice you can give?

For me it wasn´t that easy, because I started pretty late. But for exchange students who want to live in a dorm room it is really easy to find something. I just didn't want to live in a dorm room.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

The food is amazing. Wroclaw offers everything. Chinese, japanese, italian, spanish, indian, typical polish dishes, burgers, steak... just everything you need.

I loved the typical polish pierogi.

What places would you recommend visiting in Wroclaw?

The University Tower is amazing and the entrance is for free for students. All the churches are amazing. I would recommend just to walk around the city. there are lots of great spots.

Is it good to eat out in Wroclaw? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

It totally is. It is cheap and yummy. My favorite place for pizza was Pronto Pizza, close to the Uni.

Also amazing is Bulka z Maslem and Mango Mama.

Is the nightlife good in Wroclaw? Where is good to go?

It is great. I loved too many many bars. They offer great drinks for great prices. A nice place to party at is Bezszennosc(idk if i spelled it right). It is in the Pasaz Niepolda, a place with many different clubs an bars.
