Why did you choose to go to Wrocław, Poland?
It's a city with a lot of people, it's in a great place in Europe and because Poland is a cheap country.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
My scholarship was for 10 months and I'll get €900 for the whole year.
What is the student lifestyle like in Wrocław?
It's great, there are lots of students on all different courses and from all different countries.
Would you recommend the city and the university of Wrocław to other students?
Yes, of course.
What is the food like there?
It's excellent, it's very filling in general, but it's very tasty.
Was it difficult to find accommodation in Wrocław?
No, because the university had already assigned us a residence before we came here.
How much does it cost to live in Wrocław?
It depends, because the residence is very cheap, it costs more or less €80 a month, but the flats there are much more expensive, around €250, so your monthly outgoings can vary quite a lot. But living in the residence, you spend about €400 a month.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the university?
Polish is really difficult. The university offers free Polish language and culture courses.
What's the easiest or most economical way to travel to Wrocław from your home city?
By plane.
Where would you recommend for a night out in Wrocław?
There are loads of places to go, they're really good with something going on every day of the week.
And to eat in Wrocław? What are some of your favourite places to go?
The place I went to most was Kurna Chata.
What good cultural sites are there to visit?
The zoo, the Japanese garden, the Botanic Garden, the city centre main square Rynek, it's a beautiful place, the cathedral...
