Erasmus Experience in Wroclaw, Poland by Filipa Sebastião
Why did you choose to go to Wroclaw, Poland?
i choose Wroclaw in Poland because is quite a central city, the cost of life is very reasonable and Poland is in the middle of Europe, so u can reach any city in Europe very easily.
How long is the scholarship? How much money do you receive to help you with living costs?
i received around 800 euros to stay 6 months as scholarship.
What is the student lifestyle like in Wroclaw?
The student lifestyle is very good, u have a very good night life (i mean everyday) if you want. the university has amazing conditions: lots of places to eat, to catch some sun in the summer time and more important some really nice library's and lounge areas.
Would you recommend the city and the University of Wroclaw to other students?
Of course once u arrive it is impossible not to fall in love with the city, if u are a fairytales lover u will found a lot of little dwarfs around the city.
What is the food like?
Personally i am not a food person, so different food for me is always quite strange. So, i take awhile to get used to the polish food .

No, because the university help me in the whole process. As an advice u should stay in the student accommodation is the best way to meet new people and get always in touch.

For me, due the fact i was in a Student accommodation i pay 90 euros per month. If u decide no to do it, i suggest you to find a local in order to help u find an house, otherwise the prices will be to high.
Is the language easy to get to grips with? Are there language courses available at the University?
The language is quite difficult (for me as portuguese). but if u really wanna learn it the university will provide you a free language course.

To travel in Wroclaw you should buy the pass (for 5 months) and it costs around 140pln. yes, it's true 30 euros for 5 months, there is no need to travel without ticket :p
