A coffee & a chat
Every and each one of us has been or at least has seen Starbucks before, so it is not a big deal, but today I have been for the first time to the Starbucks here in town.
It has been nice because I do not remember exactly last time I did this with some friends, which is probably like two years and a half ago. Basically, when I was in the United States as an exchange student. I like the drive-ins, but I also enjoy sitting down and sipping a cup of coffee with good friends, or with friends that you are still trying to get to know day by day. In Italy, everyone is always in a hurry and getting coffee is not really the best time for a talk. Espresso lasts five seconds and does not really give a chance to people to chat, but food does.
Variety of drinks
Anyways, my friends and I had a few vouchers for Starbucks today and we decided to use them. I have been in my room for the whole morning and I needed fresh air, even though I did not feel good. My friend was going to have a class at the city campus anyways and my other friend wanted to get together and do something. So we walked towards the city center with our discounts and walked through the entrance of the coffee shop. No one was at the counter so we reached it and started looking at the list of drinks while the girl standing on the other side asked what we wanted to drink. My friends had a Caffé Americano and a Cappuccino, while I had a Caramel Macchiato. We all got the tall size because that was the one that came with the discount. The staff was really nice, the girl spelled all our English names correctly and asked us if we were having a good day.
We sat down and started talking about our habits back in our home countries, our childhood, and other things that came up to our mind. The place was really cozy and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly - which was a great thing for us since my data was crap and we needed to Google pretty much everything we were talking about. The place was clean and so was the bathroom. I really enjoyed my coffee and looking forward to go back there, especially when it is cold outside.
