What is it like to live in Wageningen? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?

Wageningen is a generally small, peaceful and elegant city.

I strongly recommend Wageningen for living and studying.

What is the student lifestyle like in Wageningen?

The student lifestyle is pretty nice. Due to the extensively international culture and many student clubs.

How much does it cost to live in Wageningen?

It is much more expensive than Portugal.

Normally 600 euros per month at least, including room rent.

But living standard is also higher than Portugal.

Is it difficult to find accommodation in Wageningen? Is there any advice you can give?

Not difficult at all. If you are a student, the university will help you with the accommodation. Even if this doesn't work, there are lots of students who are subrentting their houses in Wageningen everyday via Student Plaza, a Facebook page.

What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?

Typical western food and also some other restaurant owners from other cultures.

Thai food restaurant in the main street and a sushi shop.

What places would you recommend visiting in Wageningen?

Wageningen is very small, you can cover nearly everything in one day. So no special recommendation.

Is it good to eat out in Wageningen? Can you tell us your favourite spots?

Of course, travelling within the Netherlands is also easy. I believe there are tons of good restaurants in Netherlands which you can visit. I prefer Utrecht, to which place you can get easily.

There are lots of parties in student accommodations and main streets everyday.

What advice would you give future students heading to Wageningen?

Wageningen is an international city, so everyone feels nearly the same so don't feel lonely or not fit in well. Just enjoy the life and study there.
