What is it like to live in Verona? Would you recommend it? What is the city like?
Verona is really a nice city, I'll recommend it. It is one of the most beautiful cities of Italy. The landscape and the architecture are wonderful.
What is the student lifestyle like in Verona?
There is an important University and a lot of students. A new campus is under restructuring in downtown where there were Austrian military barracks. A lot of student restaurants and pubs near the University. The lifestyle is very vibrant.
How much does it cost to live in Verona?
The living cost is average.
Is it difficult to find accommodation in Verona? Is there any advice you can give?
Not just hard to find an arrangement. Just go to an agency and you can find it.
What is the food like? What are your favourite dishes?
Regional dishes: I like "polenta with salami" and "pastisada de caval" that is horse stew with onions.
What places would you recommend visiting in Verona?
First of all Arena, then Church of San Zeno, Borsari Gate, Old Castle of Scaligeri, Erbe Square. The best way to visit is walking through the small streets of the old town.
Is it good to eat out in Verona? Can you tell us your favourite spots?
Nice place is Tabulè, a Lebanese restaurant near the University. Then Bella Napoli a famous Pizza restaurant near Arena.
Is the nightlife good in Verona? Where is good to go?
Campus is the place to meet people in the evening.
What advice would you give future students heading to Verona?
Have a good time but do not forget to study a lot!
