Erasmus Experience in Verona, Italy by Celia

Why did you choose Verona, Italy?

I decided to study in Verona due to the fact that it was a small university. Plus, the city is not very chaotic and it's beautiful.

Do you recommend the city and the university to other students?

Yes, definitely.

How about the food?

They eat mainly pasta.

Was it hard to find accommodation in Verona?

Yes it was, but ESU has student residences.

How much it costs to live in Verona?

It does not have a low cost of living, but Verona is not the most expensive city in North Italy.

Did you apply to a language course?

No, just because I believe Spanish people understand very easily Italian. I went just fine.

What's the easiest and economic way of get to Verona from your city?

With airplane. Then I got a train. There are a lot of trains in North Italy that you can catch to go to every main city in the country.

And to eat? What are your favorite places?

To eat pizza I advice one near San Matteo Church, in Vicolo S. Matteo, nr 4.

What's there to see in Verona?

So many beautiful places to see... Bra's Square, the Arena, Erbe's Square and the Lamberti's Tower, Old Castel (Castelvecchio, my favorite place), Roman Theater, Roman wall, the Adige river, Pietra's Bridge, San Pietro's Castel, all the churches around (specially Santa Anastasia, San Fermo, San Zeno, Santa Maria Matricolare which is the Duomo), Juliet's House...
